About the Company

Leading professional services organisation seeks Commercial Legal Counsel to join its established in-house legal team. The role can be based in London or across the regions, with flexible and hybrid working available.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Office of General Counsel, working as part of a highly regarded contracts team that supports the organisation’s service lines and business functions to enable growth while managing risk across a wide range of commercial relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with key clients, including master services agreements and public-sector framework agreements.
  • Managing supplier, subcontractor and third-party agreements such as collaboration, reseller and sponsorship arrangements.
  • Advising on international contracts, data-sharing agreements, secondment agreements, software supply contracts and other commercial contracting matters.
  • Working closely with client-facing partners, quality and risk teams and other internal stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risk.
  • Supporting the delivery of excellent client service.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in contract law and professional liability, sharing knowledge with the team, delivering training.
  • Helping to leverage AI tools to improve ways of working.

Qualifications

You will be a qualified lawyer (over 3 PQE) with strong commercial contracting experience. Experience within a professional services or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of data protection, intellectual property, public sector contracting and broader commercial risk management.

Preferred Skills
