What you'll be doing:
* Manage and oversee the running of a solo placement home in Darwen (registered for up to 3 young people) * Lead day-to-day care, ensuring consistent, nurturing support for young people * Coordinate routines and staff practices across a Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm shift pattern (flexible working hours available) * Support and develop the team, helping create a calm, structured setting that young people can thrive in * Take ownership of the home's performance and day-to-day standards
What you'll bring:
* Proven ability to lead in a children's residential care setting (or similar) and guide practice with confidence * Strong judgement and a steady approach-able to prioritise what matters most for safeguarding and wellbeing * A supportive, respectful leadership style that builds trust with young people and colleagues * Commitment to delivering high-quality care every day
Additional information:
* Salary: 48,000 to 55,000, depending on experience * Interview process: 1 stage, held at the Darwen home-an opportunity to meet the current team and, if timings align, the young person too * To be considered for interview, you'll need to complete the application form prior to interview
