Location: Antrim Civic (but required to work between both Antrim Civic Centre andMossley Mill)

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

In the context of Council’s Corporate Plan and Departmental objectives the post- holder will provide dynamic, effective and performance focused leadership by: Successful delivery of the strategy for Leisure services; Advising the Director, Chief Executive and Corporate Leadership Team on strategies and policy matters relating to the post holders remit. Successful leadership, management and delivery of service responsibilities in support of the Corporate Strategic objectives, section business plans, and values. Playing an active role in corporate organisational development; Ensure the service takes a leading role in the development of inter- departmental plans for corporate themes and that it contributes fully to achieving corporate objectives. Identifying and analysing trends and opportunities relating to the post holder’s responsibilities and to deliver successful change to ensure continuous improvement

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. (A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information) A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit. Dates for the process are as follows:
