The Opportunity

• Advising clients on a wide range of commercial disputes across litigation, arbitration, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution.
• Taking a lead role on complex and high-value matters, managing cases from inception through to resolution.
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key clients and acting as a senior point of contact.
• Leading negotiations, settlement discussions and client meetings.
• Working closely with barristers, experts and other external stakeholders.
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team.
• Contributing to business development initiatives, thought leadership and client engagement activities.
• Gaining exposure to a broad range of disputes, including contract claims, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, fraud, property disputes, construction disputes and arbitration matters.
• Playing an active role in driving innovation and the use of legal technology within the disputes practice.

The Ideal Candidate

• An experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer with the expertise expected at Legal Director level.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedure and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Significant experience handling complex commercial disputes and managing client relationships.
• Confident leading matters with a high degree of autonomy and commercial judgement.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior members of a team.
• Strong business development instincts with experience building professional relationships and identifying opportunities.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
• Experience in one or more specialist areas such as shareholder disputes, professional negligence, fraud, arbitration, construction disputes, property disputes, IP or technology disputes would be advantageous.
