Children with Disabilities Team Manager Manchester City Council Up to 46 per hourCaritas Recruitment is supporting Manchester City Council with the recruitment of an experienced Children with Disabilities Team Manager to provide leadership and oversight within a dedicated Children with Disabilities service.This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Team Manager with a strong background in children’s social care, safeguarding, and managing services for children and young people with disabilities.

  • Location: Manchester
  • Pay Rate: Up to 46 per hour
  • Contract Length: 3 to 6 months
  • Working Pattern: Full-time
  • Office Attendance: Candidates should expect to be more office-based than hybrid, although some flexibility is available
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

As Team Manager, you will:

  • Lead, support, and supervise a team of Social Workers within the Children with Disabilities Service
  • Ensure high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children and families
  • Oversee assessments, care planning, child protection, and statutory interventions
  • Support staff development, performance management, and case progression
  • Drive excellent practice standards and ensure compliance with legislation and local procedures
  • Work closely with partner agencies to deliver effective multi-agency support

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience within Children’s Social Care
  • Previous Team Manager or Advanced Practitioner experience
  • Strong knowledge of Children with Disabilities services
  • Experience managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases
  • Excellent leadership, supervision, and decision-making skills
  • A strong understanding of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and performance standards
