NHS Forth Valley is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist/Clerical Assistant to join our supportive Psychological Services team. This 6-month opportunity is focused on improving service delivery while working within a department that prioritizes staff well-being and patient-focused care.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a high-quality reception and clerical support service. Your role is vital in ensuring the smooth administration of patient bookings and the general efficiency of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Reception Services: Providing an efficient and friendly front-of-house service for patients and staff.
- Booking Administration: Managing patient-focused booking systems and administrative tasks.
- Clerical Support: Assisting the wider administration team with general office duties.
- Prioritization: Managing a varying workload to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Candidate Requirements
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a friendly, collaborative team.
- Technical Skills: Strong keyboard skills and proficiency in standard office software.

Secondment Information
This post is available as a 6-month secondment. Existing permanent NHS employees must:
- Discuss the opportunity with their substantive line manager.
- Complete and sign the Secondment Request Form (found on the HR intranet) prior to the interview.
- Bring the signed form to the interview as confirmation of management agreement.
