Unique opportunity for a Gas/ Plumbing sector individual to perhaps come off the tools and take on Monday to Friday office based role in Belfast. Need to be very organised and clued into audits and documentation and have a very good rapport with Govt Organisations etc
Deal with daily remedial work and liaise with the likes of Housing Association and the engineers in terms of work and to make recommendation’s and work closely with the gas engineers – will form a large part of the role.
The successful candidate will lead the technical, quality, safety and service delivery of our works across our contracts. You will be the technical lead for advice and guidance on gas safety matters for the company including engineers and office staff. You will review service reports and manage remedial. The role is key to our compliance with the gas safety regulations, code of practice and Gas Safe rules of registration.
Key responsibilities
- Technical coaching & advice: First-line technical support for field engineers and helpdesk staff.
- Remedials management: Review service/CP12s, scope remedial, prioritise in line with contract SLA, verify completion quality.
- Planned works oversight: Validate designs, material lists, health and safety RAMS; supply chain management; witness/approve commissioning and sign-off.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Carry out Post-inspections & technical audits; manage competence of engineers; ensure records align with GS(I&U)R (NI) 2004 and HSENI L56 ACOP.
- Stakeholder liaison: Attend client meetings, handle escalations, produce clear technical reports, and keep up to date with industry changes including training event attendance.
Requirements
- Current valid ACS qualifications to allow registration with GasSafe including CCN1, CENWAT as a minimum.
- Probably a Time-served plumber/gas engineer
Desirable requirements
- Non domestic ACS qualifications
- Understanding of common contract forms used in NI (NEC, NHF, etc)
This role is primarily office based with attendance on site and at clients premises as required.
