Our purpose is simple: to make buildings safer.
Everything we do is underpinned by our CARE values (Competence, Ambition, Relationships and Excellence) and guided by our NESW principles (Navigating, Engaging, Supporting and Willing).
As our Building Safety team continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Building Safety professional to join us. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects, build trusted client relationships and play a key role in shaping the future of our growing service.

Working closely with project teams, designers, contractors and dutyholders, you will provide practical, proportionate advice that enables projects to progress safely and compliantly.
Alongside project delivery, you will help develop our people by mentoring junior consultants, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of our Building Safety service.

- Produce high-quality technical reports, risk reviews and client advice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, contractors and regulators.
- Chair and facilitate client meetings, design team meetings and workshops.
- Support the development of junior consultants through mentoring, coaching and technical guidance.
- Contribute to the continued development of Safer Sphere’s Building Safety service, processes and technical standards.
- Support business development activities, including preparing fee proposals, identifying opportunities and developing existing client relationships.
- Promote a positive building safety culture across projects through collaborative working and practical advice.
About You
You will be an experienced built environment professional with a background in architecture, building surveying, engineering or construction, a strong understanding of the regulatory environment, and a passion for improving standards across the built environment.
You will enjoy working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams, taking ownership of projects and providing pragmatic, commercially aware advice.
