A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate Solicitor to join its growing Housing Management & Property Litigation team in Birmingham. Acting for multiple Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords across England and Wales, the team is recognised for delivering high-quality advice across a broad range of housing management and property litigation matters. This opportunity offers exposure to a varied caseload combining both contentious and advisory work, within a collaborative and supportive environment that places genuine emphasis on career development, wellbeing and long-term progression.
The Role:
- Support the continued growth and development of a highly regarded Housing Management & Property Litigation team
- Build and strengthen relationships with Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlord clients across England and Wales
- Take an active role in supporting existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to further enhance service delivery
- Advise clients on a broad range of contentious property litigation matters including forfeiture, service charge disputes, breach of lease claims and possession-related issues
- Provide strategic advice on non-contentious matters including lease interpretation, property management issues, building safety and fire safety related matters
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm’s real estate, housing and litigation teams to deliver commercially focused solutions
- Support clients in responding to evolving regulatory and legislative requirements affecting the housing sector
- Assist in mentoring and developing junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Maintain responsibility for financial performance, including efficient file management, billing and delivery against key performance objectives
- Contribute to the profile and continued success of the team through client engagement, networking and thought leadership activities
The Candidate:
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise within Property Litigation, Housing Litigation or Housing Management work
- Experienced in handling landlord and tenant disputes, breach of lease matters, service charge disputes and wider property litigation issues
- Possesses a strong understanding of housing and property-related legislation and regulatory requirements
- Capable of delivering pragmatic, commercially focused and client-centric advice
- Experienced in managing client relationships and working closely with institutional, public sector or commercial clients
- Contributes positively to team development and wider business objectives
- An effective communicator with strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- A qualified Solicitor operating at Associate or Senior Associate level within Property Litigation, Housing Litigation or a related practice area
