Face-to-Face Charity Fundraising Ambassador for Prospect Hospice

Job Title: Face-to-Face Charity Fundraising Ambassador for Prospect Hospice

Location: Wiltshire region (Door-to-Door & Venue Fundraising)

Salary: £17.00 per hour (Direct Employment) + Bonus

Hours: 30 hours per week (Full-Time, Permanent)

Employer: The Hive Linq

About the Charity: Prospect Hospice

Since 1980, Prospect Hospice has been the only dedicated provider of end-of-life care for people across north east Wiltshire, including Swindon, Marlborough, and Royal Wootton Bassett. They provide compassionate, personalised care completely free of charge to patients and their families in the hospice, in their own homes, and in care homes.

With less than a quarter of their funding coming from the NHS, they rely heavily on the generosity of their local community to raise the several million pounds needed each year to keep their services running. As a Face-to-Face Charity Fundraising Ambassador, you will be the voice of this vital cause, helping to secure the regular donations that make their work possible.

The Role

This is a field-based role with real purpose. You will be representing Prospect Hospice in the Wiltshire community, engaging with the public through door-to-door outreach and fundraising at local venues. Your mission is to have meaningful, compliant conversations that inspire long-term support for the hospice.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Door-to-Door Fundraising: Speaking with residents in Wiltshire communities to build relationships and secure regular donations.
  • Venue Fundraising: Representing the hospice at local events, community centres, and other high-footfall locations across the region.
  • Storytelling: Sharing the impactful work of Prospect Hospice with authenticity and passion to encourage supporter sign-ups.
  • Delivering Quality: Ensuring all conversations are ethical, compliant, and reflect the hospice’s values of being Authentic, Specialist, Person-centred, Inclusive, Resilient, and Excellent.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a confident, professional fundraiser who understands the importance of excellent patient care and the power of a genuine conversation.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven face-to-face fundraising experience in a door-to-door or venue-based setting (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong communication skills – the ability to engage naturally with diverse members of the UK public.
  • Resilience and positivity – you can handle rejection and stay motivated to achieve your goals.
  • A values-led approach – you care about compliance, quality, and ensuring a positive supporter experience.
  • Flexibility and mobility – you can reliably travel within the Wiltshire region (driving is preferred but not essential).

What We Offer (Direct Employment)

We believe in fairness, security, and supporting our people properly.

  • Guaranteed Pay: £17/hour basic for a 30-hour week (we can be flexible on hours for the right candidate).
  • Bonus Scheme: Rewarding quality and performance (details shared at interview).
  • Permanent Contract: Direct employment with The Hive Linq, not agency work.
  • Holiday Pay: Paid annual leave (pro-rata).
  • Full Support & Equipment: Tools and guidance to help you perform at your best.
  • A Positive Culture: Ethical fundraising, inclusivity, and a supportive team environment.
  • The Hive Network: A connected UK-wide community of experienced Bees.
