Role Description The Office & Operations Support Manager is a full-time role based in Edinburgh with a hybrid working model, allowing some work from home. This role oversees day-to-day office administration, ensuring smooth operations, effective coordination of facilities, and efficient support for team members. Key responsibilities include managing office systems and processes, coordinating schedules and meetings, and supporting internal communication and workflow. The role involves monitoring and improving operational procedures, maintaining records and databases, and providing responsive support to colleagues and external stakeholders. The manager will also assist with onboarding and training for new team members, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure that office and operational activities align with SIS’s mission and values.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management skills, including experience overseeing office administration, processes, and systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to support colleagues, partners, and stakeholders professionally.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret data, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Experience in training and supporting team members, including onboarding and process guidance.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 or similar) and comfort working in a hybrid environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
- Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-led organization is an advantage.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in operations, business administration, or a related field.
