Heath & Safety Manager

Health & Safety Manager Location: Stoke-on-Trent Duration: 40 Weeks (Potential Extension) Start: ASAP Rate: DOE

Think Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major international distribution centre project in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale industrial shed development, with approximately 40 weeks of work and the potential for the contract to be extended.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out regular site inspections and audits.
• Ensuring all works are compliant with current H&S legislation and company procedures.
• Producing reports and maintaining accurate H&S documentation.
• Conducting inductions and toolbox talks.
• Identifying and mitigating site risks.
• Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Working closely with the site team, subcontractors and client to promote a positive safety culture.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).
• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager on large construction projects.
• Industrial / warehouse / distribution centre experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
