Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs, working in partnership with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.
Role purpose
Our Technical department is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician (QA) to join the team. Our ideal candidate would have previous experience gained within a similar role within food manufacturing. However, for the right person full training can be given to those who enjoy working as part of a small team and working with other departments on site to ensure adherence to product safety, legality and quality.
Responsibilities
- Understanding and applying relevant standards and codes of practice so that our Customers, Pro – Pak Foods and Legal requirements are achieved and maintained.
- Understanding and successfully implanting the quality management systems
- Assist in the delivery of site standards for visits and audits either through direct input, indirect support and/ or organisation of QA Team activities
- Manage QA requirements for product launches
- You’ll be the role model for delivering key behaviour’s and values
- Operating in a safe working manner and support the site/business with continuous improvements
- Assist in communicating to suppliers on technical issues to achieve resolution
- Understanding of HACCP and experience working in food manufacturing
