The Aircraft Technicians areprimarily responsiblefor ensuring all Diamond Aircraft, bothSkyborne’sand external customer’s fleets aremaintainedin the safest, most efficient, and fully compliant manner.
This roleinvolves theuse ofa developed skill set tomaintaintheaircraftin the fleetproviding exceptional servicestandards reflectingthe Skyborneethos. A dynamic and progressive role, the Aircraft Technician will be adaptable and positive in an evolving Maintenance Department.
This role will be based onsite at Gloucestershire Airport, worked Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with participation in a weekend on-call rota, typically 1 in 5 weekends.
There may be a requirement to travel to any location where Skyborne aircrafts may be displaced to.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduledmaintenanceon fleetaircraft.
- Conduct defect identification and rectificationplus aircraft on ground support asrequired.
- Ensuring Health & Safety and regulatory standards aremet within the maintenance environment at all times.
- Support the operational flying programme in carrying out works in line with fleet maintenance schedule to ensure minimalaircraftdown time.
- Support the compliance withregulatory responsibilities of UKCAA as per the approved Exposition.
- Ensure themaintenance quality isaccomplishedto the highest standards of airworthinessconsidering principles of human factors.
- Produceaccuratemaintenance records for work carried out.
- Support of ongoing hangar cleanliness and organisation to ensure safe and effective working environment.
- Support the operation withaircrafthandling and stand placement, refuelling andaircraftvalet and detailing.
- Practice the Company’s Safety policy and Just Culture.
Qualifications
- Previous engineeringexperience working in General Aviation (essential).
- Demonstrable experience ofaircraftmaintenance on relevantaircraftgroup (desirable).
- High standard ofcommunication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, tointeract effectively with staff and produceaccuratemaintenance records.
- Experience in use of computerised maintenance record systems.
- Understanding in relevance and application of service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
- Extensive experiencein use and interpretation of aircraft maintenance management toprovide thecorrect action forcarrying outmaintenance procedures.
- Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Readilyacceptschanges and adjustsaccordingly.
