The Opportunity

The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) and British Gymnastics areseekingan experienced and forward-thinking Sports Medicine Doctor to join the World Class Programme (WCP) as Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in one of Britain’s most successful Olympic and Paralympic sports, driving athlete health,wellbeingand performance at the highest level of international competition.

A snapshot of the role

As Chief Medical Officer, you will provide strategic medical leadership across British Gymnastics, ensuring athletes receive world-class medical care and support throughout their performance journey.

As a member of the British Gymnastics Performance Leadership Team and a trusted advisor to the Executive, you will lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s medical strategy, aligning it with the wider Collective Accountability Performance Plan. You willprovideexpert guidance on athlete health,performanceand wellbeing, while overseeing clinical governance, medical riskmanagementand best practice across the National Governing Body.

About You

You will be an experienced Sports Medicine Doctor with a strongtrack recordof working in high-performance sport and leading multidisciplinary teams. You willpossessexcellent leadership,communicationand stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at both strategic and operational levels.

You will be passionate about athlete-centred care and committed to delivering excellence in a world-class performance environment.
