The transition of a young person is critical to their success at College. We are looking for an individual with the necessary skills, experience and person-centred ethos to support the successful transition of learners with Additional or other Learning Support at all stages of their College learning programme.

This is a 4-point incremental scale with progression to each point on an annual basis. Commencing salaries will be assessed in accordance with the College’s starting salaries matrix.

Hours of Work: Full-time-37 hours per week worked over 5 days

Contract Type: Permanent

Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per annum (pro rata) plus statutory bank holidays & College efficiency closures

Qualifications:

You will hold a relevant qualification at Level 4 or equivalent, if not held to be undertaken

and achieved within an agreed time scale

Experience:

You must have knowledge and experience of advising and supporting learners with Additional or other Learning Support Needs. Knowledge and understanding of the legal responsibilities under ALN and Equality legislation is highly advantageous.

Details:

The role will involve liaising with external agencies, organising and attending internal and external Person Centred, Duty to Decide and Individual Development Plan meetings. The successful candidate must have initiative and be able to work independently. They must have excellent organisational, communication, analytical and administrative skills. Being able to work well under pressure and have excellent IT skills is key.
