Role overview
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced, Head of Automation for a new production of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, directed by Marianne Elliott.
The role will play an active part in the operation of revolve, scissor lifts and automated flying. Previous experience as an Head of Automation on a busy show is essential. Experience working with an Absolute Motion Control system is preferable. Skills required include attention to detail, the ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy live production environment and good all-round technical skills.
Start Date: August 2026

Contract Type: Fixed term until December 2026
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement. Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Monday to Saturday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
