Our client, a leading processing and manufacturing company are in search of an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their highly reputable company.

Job Duties

• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
• Apply technical skills and ingenuity to the correction of equipment problems
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment
• Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance reviews, and by Identifying skill gaps and coordinating training and development.
• Lead and ensure all maintenance activities exceed safety standards and comply with policies and legislation.
• Optimise spare parts inventory ensuring ongoing availability.
• Maintain up-to-date technical and compliance records.
• Oversee external contractors
• Manage weekly rotations, urgent repairs, and daily maintenance to support continuous operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any maintenance-related concerns
• Adhere to quality standards set by the company and external bodies e.g. BRC.
• Adhere to Health and Safety, Hygiene and security procedures.

Experience:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining industrial equipment
• Mechanical relevant Trade qualification, diploma or degree.
• Electrical knowledge is desirable.
• 5+ years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting ability.
