Occupational Therapist – Belfast – Adult Community Learning Disability Team
Vanrath are delighted to be partnering with HSCNI to recruit on their behalf an Occupational Therapist to join their community team. In this role, you’ll support the adult learning disability service
Main responsibilities will include:
The post holder will contribute specialist Occupational Therapy skills and knowledge to the Community Adult Learning Disability Service, fulfilling professional duties and organisational statutory responsibilities.
The post holder will provide Specialist Occupational Therapy assessment of service users with a learning disability, who present with a broad range of clinical needs. They will be responsible for managing, organising and prioritising a complex caseload and workload in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. The post-holder will deliver evidence-based practice, monitoring and reviewing as appropriate, using a client-centred approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate Occupational Therapy interventions.
He/she will have line management responsibilities for junior staff, and will contribute to the day-to-day management, co-ordination and provision of the Occupational Therapy Service.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner within a multi-disciplinary team, will be involved in interagency working and will participate in the planning, implementation and review of service improvements.
Essential Criteria:
- Occupational Therapy Degree (UK recognised)
- HCPC Registered
- Member of RCOT or Unison
- Mnimum previous 2 years OT experience

Salary:The salary on this role is in line with the HSCNI Band 6 pay scale. (+pension & enhanced annual leave).
