Finchfield Hockey Club (est 1958) based in Wombourne, near Wolverhampton is growing …. with 5 mens teams, 2 ladies teams and a vibrant junior section.
We have plans to grow on and off the pitch – with ambitions to play at the highest level we can, whilst having as much fun as possible.
We play and train at The Royal Wolverhampton School. (Ladies section train on a Tuesday night)
Our Ladies 1s were founded in 2021 and are currently playing in Mids 4NW
Our Ladies 2s are now going into their 3rd season in Mids 5
We have regular high attendance at training – so have a group of engaged players keen to improve
The role would include
- planning and running coaching sessions for our Ladies
- working with captains to develop playing structure and tactics (we have veo camera technology to assist)
- Essential to coach / manage ladies teams on matchdays ( both 1s and 2s where logistics allow)
- Help us grow the ladies section. Catering for all abilities is essential at training in order to drive engagement
You will be suitably qualified or keen to develop your coaching skills / qualifications with which we can help
We’re keen to hear from coaches or player / coaches wanting to develop their coaching journey
The club will pay an hourly rate and a fixed rate for Saturdays (to be agreed)
