Reporting to: Curriculum Team Leader, Adult & Community Learning

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £25,984 to £35,433 per annum*

Hours:37 hoursper week

Annual Leave: 30 daysplus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: NEST Pension Scheme

*Anadditionalsector-based salary scale of up to £38,975 per annum may be available for exceptional sector-specific roles, asdeterminedby the College.

You will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, helping learners achieve their goals while developing the skills required by today’s workforce.Working closely with learners,employersand colleagues, you will ensureprogrammesremainrelevant, responsive to industry needs and aligned with current professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Design and deliver engaging learningprogrammesthat meet qualification requirements and College quality standards.
  • Develop tailored teaching, learning and assessment plans to support individual learner success.
  • Provide information,adviceand guidance to help learners achieve their agreed learning aims and SMARTobjectives.
  • Deliver teaching, learning and assessment across Health & Careprogrammesand, whereappropriate, other vocational areas aligned to your qualifications,experienceand occupationalexpertise.
  • Create a positive,safeand purposeful learning environment where learners feel valued,supportedand motivated to succeed.
  • Monitor learner progress, attendance,achievementand other key performance indicators to supportprogrammeperformance and quality improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with employers and stakeholders to ensure courses meet workforce and sector needs.

About You

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant industry qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Qualified teacher status or willingness to undertakean appropriate teachingqualification upon appointment.
  • GCSEMathsand English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurer (IQA/Verifier) Awards.

Essential Experience

  • Current and relevant industry experience within the health and care sector.

Desirable Experience

  • Teaching,trainingand/or assessing experience.

Knowledge and Skills

You will have:

  • Knowledge of current health and social care legislation,standardsand bestpractice.
  • Experienceofdelivering engaging teaching, training or assessment within the health and care sector.
  • Excellent communication,interpersonaland presentation skills.
  • The ability to motivate and support learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • A commitment to helping learners achieve their personal,educationaland career goals.
