Job Description:

  • Responsible for supporting the configuration, implementation and optimisation of the electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) system.
  • Responsible for the supply of pharmaceutical services to various wards within the hospitals.
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of training to peers and colleagues for use of clinical systems pertaining to digital medicines.
  • Configuring drug templates for the ePMA system.
  • Configuring order sentences and sets for the ePMA system.
  • Ensuring a working integration continues to function between the ePMA and dispensing system.
  • Building and running reports relevant to medicines optimisation.
  • Supporting the resolution and escalation of clinical queries in relation to ePMA.
  • Report computer problems to the I.T. Helpdesk. Communicate with the two I.T. Helpdesks within our Trust and the supplier.
  • Dispensing and checking of prescriptions, including competence in the use of the computer system.
