Exciting opportunity for an Accessories buyer looking to progress into a well known Fast Fashion Brand.

This brand is now managing clothing, footwear and all areas of accessories including bags, jewellery, home and gift packs, belts, beauty and cosmetics, hats, gloves and scarves. Ideally we are looking for someone with accessories/jewellery experience and will either be an established Junior Buyer ready for a step up to manage a small team or an existing Buyer looking for a more fashion based role with a growing and well known company.

Under the direction of the head of buying, you will be responsible and account for the buying of Accessories. With the Head of Buying’s support your team will be developed and together will proactively seek opportunities that will continuously improve the buying function in the business.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uses the WSSI to make informed and strategic decisions within the defined parameters of the role.
  • Present in a clear, concise and accurate manner, detailed information regarding the buying function.
  • Undertook product development and develop proposition as area of business grows.
  • Ensure proposition is able to deliver required international growth and maintain understanding of requirements of new territories.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Buying, Head of Merchandising and directors, to influence strategic plans and developments.
  • Ensure effective communication with junior, assistant and trainee buyers in designated areas and across the entire department.
  • Monitor stock covers on single lines.
  • Report and effectively communicate all key information in trading meeting to buyer and director level.
  • Generate ideas and suggestions to impact the business with reference to promotions and mark downs.
  • Monitor and maintain stocks as per KPI’s set and manage open to buy accordingly.
  • Respond to competitor analysis.
  • Complete buying trips as needed within UK and internationally.
  • Liaise with marketing and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships and ensure sales are maximised through the site and in line with overall strategy.
