We are working with our prestigious national client who are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to join their growing team covering the York area.

The Role
As a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, remedial works, and reactive call-outs across a range of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
Working as part of the dedicated service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers life safety systems remain fully operational, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
- Complete repairs, upgrades, and remedial works where required.
- Assess system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Complete all service documentation, job sheets, risk assessments, and reports accurately.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Manage company tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.
- Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance requirements when required.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Experience with Installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
