Your new role
n This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor through to approximately 5 years' PQE to join an established asbestos and occupational disease team.
n
You will manage your own caseload of litigated industrial disease matters whilst supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value claims. The team acts for individuals suffering from a broad range of occupational illnesses and respiratory conditions, providing meaningful and rewarding work that makes a genuine difference to clients and their families.

Your responsibilities:

- n
- Managing a caseload of asbestos and occupational disease claims from inception through to resolution.
- Handling a range of cases including mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer, asbestosis, pleural thickening, occupational asthma, silicosis and other workplace-related illnesses.
- Running litigated matters independently with appropriate supervision.
- Assisting partners and senior solicitors on complex and high-value claims.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss.
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel and other key stakeholders.
- Conducting legal research and preparing detailed advice.
- Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships.
- Contributing to business development and networking activities.

What you'll need to succeedn
n
- n
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 0 to 5 years' PQE.
- Previous experience in industrial disease, asbestos litigation or claimant personal injury.
- Ability to manage litigated cases with increasing levels of autonomy.
- Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills.
- Excellent communication and client care abilities.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients and their families.
- Enthusiasm for industrial disease work and a genuine commitment to securing the best outcomes for clients.
- A proactive and commercially aware mindset with an interest in business development.
