An international law firm is seeking an experienced Resource Allocation Manager to join its corporate division in London. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure legal talent is effectively deployed across a busy and growing practice.

 

 

The ideal candidate must have resource management, workforce planning, or legal operations experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment.

 

 

The Role

 

Working closely with partners and business services teams, you will take ownership of workforce planning and resource allocation across the corporate practice group.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

Managing the allocation of lawyers across client matters and projectsActing as the primary contact for resourcing requests and workforce planning discussionsMonitoring utilisation, capacity and staffing levels to identify trends, risks and opportunitiesAdvising partners on upcoming resource requirements based on pipeline activity and business needsCoordinating resource planning around annual leave, absences, secondments and other staffing changesSupporting the development of lawyers by helping ensure exposure to appropriate work opportunities

 

About You

 

Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environmentA background in resource management, workforce planning, operations, or practice managementStrong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior leaders and partnersExcellent analytical and reporting capabilitiesCommercial awareness and an understanding of utilisation and capacity management
