To manage the A/E and CM partners executing the project to assure safe, compliant, on time and on budget execution we are looking for a Senior Project Manager.
Project scope
- The project timing is 16 months (for initial phase with potential extension for subsequent phase)
- Retrofit of existing warehouse space (~15K sf) into a GMP Packaging Operation (1 Packaging Line only)
- Admin Area
- Packaging Area (CNC) with gowning (packaging line already ordered and FAT planned in Feb ’27
- Small 2-8 Deg C cold room for temporary storage
- Ambient GMP Warehouse for components storage
- Utilities
- Packaging line (1 of) – 400 V 3-phase 50.60 Hz and 230 V 1phase 50/60 Hz
- Compressed Air 120 psi to support the line + other users
- HVAC Units for Admin, CNC space & Ambient Warehouse space (DX units likely so no chillers)
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for project charter development, definition and scope clarity, milestone identification, project planning, risk identification & mitigation, project execution, project controls, project governance, handover and project closeout
- Responsible for the development and update of project management plans for all assigned projects
- Responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within approved budget and to agreed quality
- Responsible for regular accurate progress reports, and clear communication of same, both internally and externally to the client
- Responsible for effective stakeholder management, both internally within the client
- Responsible for project risk management and generation of mitigating plans and implementation
- Managing multi-disciplinary team(s) to achieve the project objectives and ensuring coordination and development
- Responsible for compliance with client procedures and Quality Standards
- Implementation of existing system tools and champion of new initiatives
- Maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Providing clear and concise communications, in accordance with the Project Communication Plan
- Review of vendor and contract packages and managing contractor relationships, including dispute resolution
- Review and management of cost estimate(s), cost reports and managing cost trends
- Efficient change management and control of project scope and related costs
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering or architecture
- Minimum of 8 years in the Life Sciences industry with a minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience
- Experience in delivering CAPEX projects
- Appropriate project management qualification (PMP preferable but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience managing cross functional, multi discipline teams
