About the Role:
We are seeking a senior UK immigration solicitor or adviser on a contractual basis to act as our consultation and advisory expert. You’ll advise us on UK immigration and the right to work in finance roles. - 1-on-1 Sessions: Assess each student’s eligibility and recommend the right visa route and timing for the finance roles they are targeting.
- Advise on employer sponsorship, Certificates of Sponsorship, and right-to-work requirements, and help students target firms that hold sponsor licences.
- Advise on settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) and naturalisation where they apply.
- Field ad hoc immigration questions from the team and flag anything that needs formal representation.
Qualifications (Criteria & Eligibility) :
Essential
- Qualified to advise on UK immigration as an SRA-regulated solicitor, a barrister with a current immigration practice, or an adviser registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 2 or Level 3.
- Current regulatory registration and professional indemnity insurance suitable for a contract engagement.
- Experienced Professional: At least 7 years of post-qualification experience in UK immigration, including complex business and personal cases.
- Strong knowledge of the Points-Based System, the work routes above, sponsor licences and sponsor duties, settlement and citizenship, and Appendix FM family routes.

- Experience advising in or around financial services, technology, or other high-growth sectors.
- Familiarity with finance recruiting and the visa realities that shape it, including salary thresholds and going rates.
- A record with appeals, refusals, and administrative review.
- Membership of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) or comparable standing.
- Based in the UK.
