Our client is a highly successful and rapidly expanding business operating within the built environment sector, delivering specialist industrial, construction and property services solutions across a diverse portfolio of clients. As the company continues to grow and strengthen its market position, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially focused Operations Director to play a pivotal role in the next phase of its development.
We are seeking an experienced senior operations leader with a strong background in the construction, industrial services, property services or facilities management sectors. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multi-site operations, driving performance, managing sizeable P&L responsibility and delivering sustainable business growth within a contracting environment.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of operational strategy and execution, ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional service standards, operational excellence and strong financial performance. You will provide inspirational leadership to a growing team, developing a high-performance culture built around accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing all operational activities across the business.
- Driving revenue growth, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Managing and improving P&L performance, budgets and commercial outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Supporting business development initiatives and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Enhancing processes, systems and procedures to improve productivity, service delivery and governance.
- Ensuring best practice in health, safety, quality and compliance across all operations.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, hands-on and visible leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to execute effectively on the ground. You will bring energy, resilience and credibility, together with experience of working closely with main contractors, construction organisations or property services businesses. Strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive change and growth within a fast-paced environment are essential.
