Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure | Freelance Contract
I’m currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with an urgent requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in the South West.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure programme, taking ownership of commercial management across project delivery while working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Monitor commercial risk and maintain project risk registers.
- Administer compensation events and identify commercial opportunities.
- Produce accurate forecasting, cost reporting and financial updates.
- Build strong relationships with Project Managers and operational teams.
- Attend project meetings and maintain robust commercial records.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and HSEQ requirements.
What we’re looking for:
✔ Strong Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management background.
✔ Infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or energy project experience.
✔ Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
✔ Excellent forecasting and cost reporting experience.
✔ Confident managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
✔ Ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
Location: South West England
Hybrid: 3 days per week on site is essential.
