Role: Systems Engineer – Various Levels

Location: Belfast, 3 days per week hybrid

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000

SC eligible, clearance required to start

We’re looking for a technically strong Senior Systems Engineer who can work across the full engineering lifecycle, with particular focus on requirements, integration, verification, validation and qualification. This role suits someone who is hands-on, confident engaging with stakeholders, and comfortable working across hardware, software and firmware in a complex engineering environment.

You’ll be joining a business that values strong systems thinking, practical problem solving and clear communication. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging work and contribute to customer-facing programmes where quality, rigour and delivery matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the right-hand side of the V lifecycle, supporting integration, verification, validation and qualification activities.
  • Capture, manage and mature requirements.
  • Develop test documentation, test plans and test specifications.
  • Execute integration and validation tests.
  • Create and maintain VVRM documentation.
  • Support acceptance activities and safety requirements.

Your Background

  • Strong experience with requirements management, system architecture, or integration and testing.
  • Good understanding of verification, validation or certification processes.
  • Experience with model-based engineering techniques, including MBSE, is desirable.
  • Confident working across hardware, software or firmware.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline.
