Corporate Paralegal – 6-month Contract Role (Africa Entity Management)

We are currently seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join the in-house legal team of a global organisation, supporting corporate governance and entity management across multiple African jurisdictions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong corporate governance, entity management and company secretarial experience who has managed multinational corporate structures across Africa and enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate entities across multiple African jurisdictions, ensuring ongoing corporate compliance.
  • Coordinate incorporations, restructurings, liquidations, deregistrations and other corporate lifecycle activities.
  • Work closely with external company secretarial providers, local counsel and regulatory authorities across Africa.
  • Prepare board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate governance documentation.
  • Maintain statutory registers and corporate records, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Track filing deadlines and support annual corporate compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support cross-border corporate transactions, reorganisations and integration projects.
  • Partner with internal legal, tax, finance and business stakeholders on governance and entity management matters.
  • Identify process improvements and support the use of technology and AI tools to improve efficiency within legal operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Corporate Paralegal within an in-house legal team or international law firm.
  • Demonstrable experience managing corporate entities across multiple African jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, company secretarial practices and entity management.
  • Experience coordinating with external company secretarial providers and local counsel across different jurisdictions.
  • Comfortable managing complex compliance calendars and multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong general experience using AI tools to improve productivity and support day-to-day legal work.
