- The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessment of children and young people with complex presentations and histories of trauma, loss and attachment disruption. You will be able to interpret and integrate information and data from a variety of sources.
- As an autonomous clinician you will be expected to have excellent communication skills and be able to provide consultation to families, schools, social workers and other professionals in a young person’s care network.
- You will be responsible for identifying and reporting concerns regarding the safeguarding of children who may be at risk.
- You will undertake risk assessments and risk management plans for individual young people and provide specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- You will formulate plans for specialist psychological therapy and/or support of a young person’s mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice. You will skilfully negotiate the implementation of agreed plans with young people and/or their carers and others in the care network.
- You will be expected to implement a range of specialist psychological therapies for individual young people, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as required.
The post holder will join an established multidisciplinary team. The service model in North Lincolnshire CIC CAMHS includes providing consultation to adults supporting children and young people, assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions for children and young people and training to foster carers., Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) employ around 4000 talented colleagues who are very much appreciated, valued, and respected.
