Position
Data Analyst within the Managed Clinical Network Heart and Stroke team based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
36 hours per week.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
The Data Analyst is responsible for assisting the Managed Clinical Network (MCN) Team to meet the information needs of NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
This role requires the individual to collect, analyse, produce reports, maintain spreadsheets and report on data by following defined processes and procedures. The reports delivered will be used to make significant differences to cardiac/stroke service delivery across NHS Ayrshire & Arran and the associated financial implications.
The postholder will also provide audit cover for Scottish Stroke Care Audit (SSCA).
The Data Analyst role will provide specialist analytical services and performance management information to support continuous improvement in the delivery of heart and stroke services for NHS Ayrshire & Arran population and the other users of its services. This requires the establishment of effective working relationships with the MCN team to co‑coordinate their inputs.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
- HND or SVQ 4 in a business related subject with relevant experience in a similar role in the NHS or large complex organisation. OR experience in a similar role within the NHS.
- Individual with relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role in the NHS or large complex organisation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programmes, MS Office software, in particular spreadsheets and databases.
- Proven IT skills in an analytical capacity.
- Proven numeracy, analytical and presentation skills.
- Good organisational, listening and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to approach problems in a logical and innovative way and propose solutions.
- Ability to collect, interpret analysis and disseminate results effectively to users.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise demands/deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team and with multidisciplinary team members.
- Flexible approach to the requirements of the job.
