Apply for the DevOps Engineer
Location: London
Job Description:

What You’ll Do

As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will lead the evolution of the DevOps function towards SRE, owning scale, performance and reliability as usage grows.

You will design, build and maintain automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code on AWS, and help guide cross-training where needed.

You will build and refine CI/CD pipelines so product engineers can ship frequently and safely into production.

You will level up monitoring and observability, adding metrics, dashboards and alerts to spot slow endpoints, backed-up queues and emerging issues early.

You will be deeply involved in incident management and the 24/7 on-call rota, from triage and diagnosis through to lasting fixes and improved runbooks.

You will work through a backlog of scalability, performance and reliability improvements, constantly finding opportunities to remove toil through automation.

You will collaborate with engineering and compliance stakeholders to keep the platform aligned with healthcare and security standards without slowing teams down.

What You’ll Bring

As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you have solid experience in DevOps, SRE or software engineering roles where you’ve owned production systems at scale and delivered mid-to-senior-level impact.

You have proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python, and a clear automation-first mentality rather than relying on cloud consoles.

You have strong experience with AWS or another major cloud and hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience, for example Terraform, with a willingness to cross-train quickly.

You have a track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with containers such as Docker in production environments.

You have experience improving monitoring, observability, performance and reliability, and participating in on-call rotations or incident response processes.

You have clear, articulate communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams in an ambiguous, fast-moving scale-up environment where you are proactive and responsible.

What’s On Offer

Salary in the region of £100,000–£120,000, depending on experience.

On-site role (4 days a week onsite) in a central London office, working closely with product, engineering and leadership.

The chance to shape the SRE direction of a rapidly scaling healthtech platform, with a substantial, high-impact reliability and performance backlog ready for you to own.

Direct access to founders and engineering leadership who involve engineers in key technical decisions.

A culture that rewards autonomy, curiosity and continuous improvement rather than rigid processes.

Benefits package, details on application.

If you’re a Staff DevOps Engineer who wants to build automation-first, reliable systems that genuinely impact healthcare, this role offers the platform to do it.
