We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the leadership of one of our restaurants in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury, high-volume environment and is eager to contribute to delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in leading the daily operation of the restaurant, developing the team, and ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and operational excellence.
What you’ll do
- Support the Head of Operations in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Lead and inspire the team to deliver an exceptional luxury dining experience.
- Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction by maintaining the highest service standards.
- Coordinate Front of House, Kitchen, Bar, and Guest Relations to guarantee seamless operations.
- Coach, develop, and motivate managers and team members, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
- Monitor operational performance and support the achievement of financial and commercial targets.
- Assist in managing labour costs, productivity, and departmental KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety regulations, and brand standards.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Support stock control, ordering processes, and supplier coordination.
- Act as the Manager on Duty and lead the operation in the General Manager’s absence.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Senior Operations Manager within a luxury hospitality or fine dining environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of restaurant financial performance.
- Knowledge of fine dining service standards, food, wine, and luxury hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; Italian is highly desirable. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
