Overview
Drive the offshore execution of the energy transition. We are looking for a T&I Lead to take ownership of the transport and installation strategy and execution for major offshore wind projects, covering both structural assets (foundations, substations) and subsea cable systems (inter‑array and export). This is a critical leadership role, bridging engineering, fabrication, marine operations, and offshore execution to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective installation across complex project interfaces.
T&I Strategy & Planning
Develop and lead the Transport & Installation (T&I) strategy for offshore wind projects.
- Define installation methodologies for:
- WTG foundations (monopiles, jackets, transition pieces)
- Offshore substations (topside & jacket transport and lift)
- Subsea cables (inter‑array & export systems)
- Manage installation schedules, sequences, and marine logistics.
Engineering & Technical Oversight
Oversee T&I engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with structural, geotechnical, and cable engineering teams.
- Lift studies and rigging design
- Sea fastening and grillage design
- Float‑over / heavy lift installation methodologies
- Cable lay analysis, route engineering, pull‑in and protection systems (CPS)
- Review and approve contractor T&I engineering documentation.
Marine Operations & Execution
Lead planning and readiness for offshore campaigns, providing technical support during operations.
- Vessel selection and suitability assessments (WIVs, heavy lift vessels, CLVs)
- Port logistics, marshalling, and load‑out operations
- Offshore installation procedures and contingency planning
- Campaign monitoring and issue resolution.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Primary interface for T&I contractors, marine warranty surveyors (MWS), and installation partners
- Support procurement activities:
- Preparation of T&I scopes of work
- Technical evaluations of bids
- Contract clarification and negotiations
- Engage with certification bodies and regulators to ensure compliance
Risk, Safety & Assurance
- Lead HSE‑by‑design approach for all T&I activities
- Conduct risk assessments, method statement reviews, and constructability studies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (DNV‑ST‑N001, ISO, client requirements)
- Oversee development of ALARP installation solutions
