Aboutthe Role
Wehave a casual Healthcare Assistant position available at Darfield CommunityHospital. As a casual position, there are no guaranteed hours or days; you willbe covering sick (on call) and annual leave. Shifts are across Monday – Sunday;mornings, afternoons and nights.
Inthis role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Registered Nurse
- Assisting in the kitchen to prepare meals
- Assisting the patients with personal cares, activities
- Helping to maintain a high standard of cleaning in thehospital.
Aboutthe Service
DarfieldCommunity Hospital has 11 beds for providing palliative care, transition tohome and respite care of the elderly for our local community.
Weare a friendly small team in a rural hospital setting, comprising RegisteredNurses, Healthcare Assistants, a Gardener/ Maintenance person, allied healthinvolvement, Older Persons Health and Palliative care support.
AboutYou
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills andthe ability to engage well with others
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in amultidisciplinary team
- Have an empathetic and caring nature
- Ideally experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar
- Previous food preparation experience is desirable.
