We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Humber, working as a Library Support Officer. This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Humber Prison is a Category C men’s prison located in Everthorpe, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Designed to house inmates from various backgrounds, Humber Prison provides a structured environment aimed at rehabilitation and re‑integration into society. The team’s aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- To hold Level 3 Library and Information Services qualification or be willing to work towards achieving within an agreed timescale
- To hold Level 2 qualifications in literacy, numeracy
- Experience of working in a customer facing role
- High Attention to detail
- Effective communication & inter-personal skills
- IT skills, working with Microsoft Office and/or management data systems
- Logical and organised
