What you will do:
- Lead and manage the Learning Disabilities Adult Social Care Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
- Oversee duty allocations and ensure workloads are distributed effectively to meet service demands.
- Conduct case audits and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of practice and compliance.
- Support caseload management, ensuring timely assessments, reviews, and interventions are completed.
- Work collaboratively with three other Team Leaders to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the service.
- Manage and resolve complaints professionally, promoting positive outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and professional advice on complex cases involving adults with learning disabilities.
- Support staff development through supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and improvement initiatives across Adult Social Care.
- Build strong relationships with partner agencies, healthcare professionals, providers, and community organisations.
- Monitor performance against service objectives and statutory responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care.
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs.
- Previous supervisory, senior practitioner, deputy manager, or management experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding legislation, and relevant Adult Social Care frameworks.
- Experience undertaking quality assurance, case auditing, and performance monitoring activities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support teams within a fast-paced environment.
