ASD Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are looking for a patient and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school based in Plumstead.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting pupils with autism, communication needs or additional learning needs. The school are looking for a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant who can support students with their learning, confidence, behaviour and daily routines.

The Role:
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with autism and additional needs throughout the school day* Work 1:1 and with small groups to encourage engagement and progress* Help pupils access classroom activities and follow structured routines* Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation* Assist teachers with adapted resources and learning tasks* Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour* Provide a calm, consistent and nurturing approach* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN* A calm, patient and resilient approach* Confidence supporting pupils with communication and learning needs* Good behaviour management and communication skills* Experience in a school, care, youth work, mentoring or childcare setting is desirable* A positive attitude and willingness to get involved* An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
