PIP Functional Assessor

  • £40,000 – £42,000 basic salary
  • £1,000 retention bonus after 6 months (subject to performance)
  • £1,000 retention bonus after 12 months (subject to performance)

WCA Functional Assessor

  • £42,000 – £43,000 basic salary
  • £1,000 retention bonus after 12 months (subject to performance)

Additional Rewards

  • One-off 5% quality bonus after successfully completing training
  • £2,000 payment when you begin carrying out face-to-face assessments (typically within your first six months)
  • Quarterly performance bonus after 12 months, with the opportunity to earn up to 2.5% per quarter

  The Role As a Disability Assessor / Functional Assessor, you’ll use your clinical expertise to assess how a person’s health condition affects their day-to-day life and functional ability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting telephone, video and face-to-face assessments
  • Reviewing medical evidence and supporting documentation
  • Assessing the impact of physical and mental health conditions on daily living
  • Producing accurate, evidence-based reports
  • Applying clinical judgement in line with DWP guidance and quality standards

This is an assessment role rather than a treatment role, giving you the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge in a different setting while continuing to make a positive impact.   What We’re Looking For You’ll need:

  • Current NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
  • Minimum of one year’s post-registration experience
  • Adult clinical experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Good IT skills
