Are you passionate about improving patient safety and driving high standards of care? We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and driven Patient Safety Manager to join our team and lead on initiatives that place patient safety at the heart of everything we do.
The Patient Safety Manager will play a key role in embedding a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the organisation.
We are looking for a dynamic and resilient clinical individual with:
- Experience in patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement within a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant NHS frameworks, policies, and safety standards.
- The ability to analyse complex data, identify themes, and drive meaningful change.
- A commitment to improving outcomes and experiences for patients.
Role 1 – Full Time, 37.5 hours per week – Permanent
Role 2 – Part Time, 30 hours per week – Fixed Term/Secondment until 25th June 2027
Working Closely With Clinical And Non-clinical Teams, You Will
- Lead on the delivery of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy, the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework and associated national and local frameworks.
- Support and oversee incident investigations, ensuring learning is identified and shared.
- Provide expert advice on patient safety, risk management, and compliance with national guidance and standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging openness, reporting, and learning from experience.
- Develop and deliver training to staff on patient safety practices
