Background and Experience
- Experience of operating at a senior or Board level, with proven experience in large, complex organisations. Must have a strong financial background and be a fully qualified accountant, with the credibility and expertise to undertake the role of Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

- Senior level governance experience demonstrates strong strategic planning, finance, risk, and performance management.
- Experience of leading quality improvement, performance management, and cultural change within a complex organisational setting.
- Demonstrable commercial and/or political astuteness which will translate into an ability to think and act strategically for the benefit of the Trust.
- Experience of holding high levels of accountability.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
