Clark Wood, on behalf of a leading UK Professional Services Firm, is looking for an experienced VAT Senior Manager or Director to lead advisory services and expand Indirect Tax services in Manchester’s City Centre.

The role focuses on providing high‑level advisory services to owner‑managed businesses, SMEs, and entrepreneurial clients across sectors such as property and construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, natural resources, professional partnerships, and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical VAT advice and support to clients, many of whom are accountants and fellow professionals, through verbal and written communication.
• Apply complex specialist technical advice to deliver innovative solutions that add value to clients.
• Lead services in specific sectors based on personal expertise.
• Participate in marketing and business development, issuing client alerts, producing thought leadership, and speaking at events and webinars.

Required Qualifications

• CTA-qualified VAT Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director.
• Demonstrated ability to develop the VAT & Indirect Tax offering.
• Strong communication and client‑management skills.
