Description


The Legal Counsel Banking will be:



  • Advising on bridge lending, banking and secured finance transactions.

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and ancillary finance documentation.

  • Working on transactions from instruction through to completion, including funding and drawdown arrangements.

  • Advising on transaction structuring and legal risk allocation.

  • Providing commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders across Lending, Credit and Investment teams.

  • Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks associated with lending transactions.

  • Developing and maintaining lending documentation, legal precedents and internal processes.

  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external advisers.

  • Managing multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and service delivery.


Profile


The Legal Counsel Banking should be:



  • A solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in banking and finance or secured lending.

  • Experienced in advising on banking, specialist lending or other finance transactions.

  • Skilled in drafting and negotiating finance documentation including facility agreements and security documents.

  • Experienced in managing transactions from instruction through to completion.

  • Commercially minded with excellent drafting, negotiation and legal analysis skills.

  • Able to balance legal, regulatory and commercial considerations effectively.

  • Confident managing relationships with clients and senior business stakeholders.

  • Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities within a fast paced environment.


Job Offer



  • Salary between £80,000 and £85,000
