As a Retail Volunteer Driver, you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team helping with tasks such as:
- Collecting and delivering items of donated stock and other sop items between our 31 shops across Somerset and our warehouse at Walford Cross Taunton
- Delivering excellent customer service to all our shop teams including shop staff and volunteers
- Ensuring that delivery vans checks are completed before each shift and any concerns or with the vans safety are reported to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
- Supporting the warehouse teams with any other general tasks as required with the role

Skills You’ll Need
To volunteer with us, using a St Margarets vehicle we ask that you:
- Commit to a regular shift (we’re flexible and will work around your availability)
- Register as a volunteer with us using our Volunteer Management System
- Provide us with two references
- Attend a taster session which will be agreed with the shop manager
- To successfully complete a volunteer induction programme
- Complete any required training (e.g. health & safety)
- Follow our policies on confidentiality, health and safety, and safeguarding
- Provide us with a copy of your drivers licence
- Read and sign documentation including a driver declaration form
If you wish to use your own vehicle all of the above apply plus we will require you to provide:
- Valid insurance certificate for your vehicle
- MOT certification (if vehicle is over 3 years old)
