Vehicle Polisher / Prepper IGLOO Long Bennington
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Polisher / Prepper to join a busy automotive bodyshop operation in Long Bennington. This is a hands‑on role working within a modern workshop environment, preparing vehicles to a high standard prior to paint and final finish.
The successful candidate will be confident carrying out both polishing and preparation work across a range of vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long‑term position with a leading automotive business following a successful 12-week temporary period.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Polisher / Prepper, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels for paint, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Polishing newly painted vehicles to remove imperfections and achieve a high-quality finish
- Carrying out preparation work to ensure vehicles are paint‑ready
- Removing and refitting panels, trims, and bumpers where required
- Supporting the bodyshop team to maintain workflow and productivity
- Working on a range of cars and light commercial vehicles
- Ensuring all work is completed to company quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper, Polisher, or similar bodyshop role is essential
- Strong polishing and paint preparation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable with strong time management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
