MRI Healthcare Assistant

Job summary

Join our Diagnostic Imaging team as an MRI Healthcare Assistant and play a vital role in providing patient care throughout the MRI journey. Working alongside Radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support patients through safe and efficient exams while helping to keep the busy MRI service running smoothly.

Main duties of the job

• Support patients before, during and after MRI examinations
• Assist with patient preparation, identification and MRI safety screening
• Provide reassurance and support to anxious, vulnerable or mobility‑impaired patients
• Assist Radiographers with patient positioning, transfers and departmental workflow
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention, cleanliness and MRI safety
• Manage stock levels, replenish consumables and conduct basic equipment checks
• Update patient information accurately in clinical IT systems and support administrative processes
• Collaborate with Radiographers, Nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver an outstanding patient experience

Salary: £24,784.50 a year £24,784.50 FTE (pro rata for 28.5 hours £18,836.22)
