Health& Safety Manager, Coventry – (Covering 3 sites in Coventry)
Salary £47,000- £50,000 per annum

Responsiblefor implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health and Safety standards andpractices within the organisation.
This roleis designed for an ambitious individual eager to develop their expertise inHealth & Safety management.
Assist inthe implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Health &Safety Management System.
Ensureadherence to company health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Support thedevelopment and review of new H&S policies and procedures as required.
Monitor changes in health and safety legislation and advise managementon necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Manage the process of conducting and reviewing risk assessments(general, specific, and COSHH).
Implement and monitor control measures to mitigate identified risks.
Lead the investigation of all incidents, accidents,and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective andpreventative actions.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidentsto relevant internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE,OSHA) as required.
Analyse incident data toidentify trends and inform proactive safety initiatives.
Develop and deliver engaging health and safetytraining programs for all levels of employees, including inductions, spesifichazard training, and refresher courses.
Ensure all employees receive appropriatehealth and safety information and training relevant to their roles.
Promote a strong safety culture throughregular communication campaigns and awareness initiatives.
Conduct regular, systematic workplaceinspections and audits to identify hazards, assess compliance, and monitor theeffectiveness of safety controls.
Prepare detailed audit reports with actionablerecommendations and track their implementation.
Act as a primary point of contact for healthand safety queries from employees and managers.
Collaborate with department heads, linemanagers, and employee representatives to embed safety practices withinoperational activities.
Liaise with external bodies such as regulatoryauthorities, insurers, and external consultants as needed.
Collect, analyse, and report on key health andsafety performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare regular H&S performance reportsfor senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, andrecommendations.
Qualifications:
Degree educated or working towards -Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Health
NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent
Provenability to conduct risk assessments
Excellentcommunication and presentation skills
Experiencewith Auditing/Incident Reporting
Understandingof Health & Safety Legislation
